I want to become an MSYP because I know how it feels to not have your opinion heard just because of stigma. Sometimes people are judged just because how they look or what others think of them. As an MSYP I’d make sure young people are heard no matter the situation or their background.
Personal statement
To consult everyone, I would use a mix of online and in person methods to reach a wider audience. I would use online surveys, school visits and I would work with youth groups to reach as many people as possible.
What are the three issues that you are most interested in?
Health and Wellbeing, Education and Lifelong Learning, and Sport and Leisure.
What issue matters most to you and why?
I believe that young people should have more activities to do in their communities and more community sports should be held like football, basketball, netball. These activities would help young people socialise and give them something positive to focus on.
Why Should Someone Vote for You?
You should vote for me because I have a lot of friends in the community meaning I regularly hear young people’s struggles and ideas. I want be someone who represents everyone not just some people who are heard easily because of their achievements.
