Participatory Democracy

In the Participatory Democracy section communities can actively participate in preparing policies and plans.

Features of this section include:

  • Open debates regarding key points of policies and plans from the earliest opportunity.
  • Discussions on how best to implement policies and plans.
  • Prioritising elements of policies and plans.
  • Suggesting additions or amendments to policies and plans.
  • Review and comment on draft policies and plans, and consider responses to other comments.

 

Participatory Budgeting

In the Participatory Budgeting section communities can actively partcipate and decide on how a specifi budget is spent.

Features of this section include:

  • Communities can view available budgets and timescales involved.
  • Communities can propose a project for the budget.
  • Everyone gets a vote on the priority of projects.
  • Implementation of the project can be updated and tracked.
