It is a part of the history of the city of Glasgow, history cannot be changed, I or anyone I know have never celebrated the fact that the historical tobacco lords had slaves, there are many different countries throughout the world that had slaves and I have never heard of slavery being celebrated by any of them. Sadly it is just the way many different cultures used to live. No one celebrates slavery, no one I’ve heard of at least, as like everything else in the world there are the small minority who may ignorantly celebrate slavery but at the end of the day, history cannot be rewritten and people have to accept and understand that fact.
