Ahmed Mujtaba
Why do you want to become an MSYP
I want to become an MSYP because I believe young people should have a real say in decisions that affect their lives. I’m not the loudest person, but I’m a good listener and I want to help make sure different voices are heard.
Why should someone vote for you?
I would be approachable, honest and willing to listen. I wouldn’t pretend to have all the answers — I’d listen to young people, understand their concerns and work to represent their views properly.
How will you consult with young people in your constituency?
I would use social media, polls, surveys and informal conversations to find out what young people actually care about. I’d also use opportunities through my college and local community to listen to different views.
What are your top three issues from the list given?
Health and Wellbeing, Education and Lifelong Learning, and Jobs, Economy and Fair Work.
