Put yourself forward for election to the Scottish Youth Parliament!

In this section, you can create your candidate profile and stand for election. Remember you need to live in the constituency you're standing in, or go to school there. If you're not sure visit the Boundaries Scotland website and use your postcode to check.

If you're thinking about standing, you can get some support from our Elections Coordinator - we recommend getting in touch with us first before uploading your candidate profile. We provide an online support session and a face-to-face session to help you prepare to stand.

To upload your profile, you'll need:

  • A profile picture
  • An idea of what you stand for and how you're going to campaign
  • Ideally, a short video and/or presentation to introduce yourself to your voters
